Hi, I'm Yana Durado, a multimedia producer based in Athens, Ohio, with a passion for crafting compelling stories across narrative, immersive, commercial, and educational media. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communication and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Ohio University. I'm also currently pursuing my FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate to expand my capabilities in aerial cinematography.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work on narrative films, 360° virtual reality experiences, documentaries, and educational productions. My experience in video production, editing, color grading, and immersive post-production has allowed me to collaborate with talented creative teams, bringing stories to life in ways that are both engaging and impactful.

I currently work as an Immersive Media Editor at Ohio University's GRID Lab, where I contribute to cinematic virtual reality experiences and interactive training simulations. I've also taught Film and Video Production at the collegiate level, helping students build a strong foundation in camera operation, lighting techniques, production equipment, and the fundamentals of professional filmmaking.

Some of the recent projects I've collaborated on include the experimental feature Snakes & Arrows, immersive Cine-VR training productions for public safety and healthcare, and award-winning narrative films. No matter the medium, I'm driven by a passion for visual storytelling and creating meaningful experiences through thoughtful editing, creative collaboration, and a commitment to quality filmmaking.
